Daily Habits vs. Quality of life

What daily habit do you do that improves your quality of life?

The little everyday things we do have a long way of influencing our physical and mental well-being. Do you make a conscious effort to follow a routine? An example of such a healthy daily routine that may contribute to your overall health goes like this.

Morning: Waking up to meditate or pray depending on your beliefs sets you on a calm path for the day. And if you can throw a 10 – 30 minutes yoga or any exercise into your Morning routine that also works, before you get a light healthy breakfast and head out for the day’s job or work.

Afternoon: While you work, if your job involves a lot of sitting, make a conscious effort to stand and walk around at least every 20 minutes. Drink water regularly and have a healthy, balanced diet lunch. Laugh as much as possible no matter how stressful your work is, create humor, or hang out with colleagues or people who bring some humor to the serious business of the day.

Evening: Relax, watch movies  or read books that help you relax. Eat your healthy dinner before 7 pm. Go through what went well and what did not during the day and strategise for improvements the next day. Only ly down on your bed when you are ready to sleep and not to play with your phone. Safe to say, give thanks for the day and for a better tomorrow.

Yeah, it’s tough to maintain a routine. It’s OK if you don’t follow through. It’s not trying at all that can be a challenge for your health either now or in the future.
