What to do when age begins to tell on your body.

Cut yourself some slack. Yes. Aging is a beautiful thing. Everyone has his/her own unique aging curve. If you’re not as fast as you used to be, that’s OK. Identify your comfortable pace and  adjust as you deem fit. If you’re no longer able to indulge in rigorous exercise, that’s Ok . Just maintain a routine of constant exercise and types of exercise you are able to cope with, such as walking, chair, or floor  exercises are good enough. If you can only eat a little meal at a time, that’s OK. As long as you stick to the circular food plate balance diet strategy of 50% vegetables, 25% grains plus proteins and 25% carbohydrates per full meal you have, with adequate water intake per day, that’s Ok. If you wake up some days feeling cranky, that’s also OK.  Just ask yourself why you feel that way. Is it due to tiredness, stress, inadequate sleep, some illness, or discomfort? Identify the cause of your crankiness and make a conscious effort to deal with it as best as you can. Or seek external professional help as the case may be.

Most of us wish and pray to live to a ripe and comfortable old age ( you can define what that age means for you), surrounded by people we love. It can be a long journey which must be taken with care, conscious efforts, love of self and pampering .

Cheers and live healthy daily.
